I believe the photographer is Mita Dostal.
Radio Paradise (www.radioparadise.com) listeners decided to exchange post cards. Names were drawn and no one knew who would be sending them a card until it arrived. A listener named Ivana got my name and sent me the postcard.

This shot was taken from the next bridge downstream of the Charles Bridge.. As you can see it was a lovely bright summers day.
The bridge was started on 7th September 1357 at 1.35 precisely. i.e. 135797531. An astrologer advised that this was propitious time and date if the bridge was not to be destroyed by floods like its pre-decessors. Well 652 years later it survives.

it was taken somewhere at Malá Strana.
I'm from Russia, that was my first visit to Prague. I was very impressed. Especially, about historical part of the city. Many mature czech people still remember russian language, and was well-wishing to russian tourists. :-)

As you can see it's a VERY popular foot bridge. This photo was taken as we walked down a footpath from the Prague Castle.
The Charles Bridge s a famous historical bridge that crosses the Vltava river in Prague. Its construction started in 1357 under the auspices of King Charles IV, and finished in the beginning of 15th century. As the only means of crossing the river Vltava (Moldau), the Charles Bridge used to be the most important connection between the Old Town, Prague Castle and adjacent areas until 1841.
The bridge is 516 meters long and nearly 10 meters wide, resting on 16 arches shielded by ice guards. It is protected by three bridge towers, two of them on the Lesser Quarter side and the third one on the Old Town side. The Old Town bridge tower is often considered to be one of the most astonishing civil gothic-style buildings in the world. The bridge is decorated by a continuous alley of 30 statues and statuaries, most of them baroque-style, erected around 1700.

This is a photo that my wife took of a trolley in the city of Prague, Czech Republic. during our visit to Prague in December 2008. We spent 3 days and two nights in Prague before going on to Poland. The city is crisscrossed with trolley lines and thousands of people travel them each day to a variety of places.

I loved the light of this scene and the couple walking down that street. I also found interesting the composition of the motorbike and the baloon above. Prague is a wonderful city, isn't it? I always try to find something new in the places i already know and.... i think i did this time;)
